Omar Arroyo

Omar Arroyo is a prominent figure in Haines City, Florida, known for his significant contributions to the city's political landscape. He is the first Hispanic commissioner in Haines City, a position he first attained in 2022. In 2023, he served as the first vice mayor, and in 2024, he became the city's first Hispanic mayor. He is also recognized as the first Mexican mayor in Florida.
Beyond his political roles, Arroyo is actively involved in community initiatives and organizations. He serves as the chairman of the HCA Board of Poinciana Hospital and is an active board member of the United Way.
