The Republican Club has scheduled member forums to discuss the state of our club today and what it can become as we move forward.

These smaller group meetings are intended for both newer members and long-standing members.

Topics for discussion include but are not limited to:

• Meet the Board and Officers
• Club Founding and History
• Today and Beyond
• Membership and its importance
• New events and activities selection
• Food and beverage selection and service

You can sign up for one of the following scheduled forums at the Republican Club dinner ticket sales table at Freedom Park.

Guest Speaker - Rich Swier

Dr. Rich Swier is a conservative writer, commentator, and civic leader based in Sarasota, Florida. He currently publishes political analysis through DrRichSwier.com and appears regularly on the DISSENT Zoom TV Show, continuing his long‑standing focus on constitutional principles, government accountability, and cultural issues. Over the past two decades, he has served in numerous community leadership roles, including President of the Sarasota County Veterans Commission, Chairman of the Sarasota National Cemetery Advisory Committee, and board member for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.

Before entering public commentary, Swier spent 23 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1990. His military career included combat service with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, where he earned two Bronze Stars with “V” Device for Heroism, the Legion of Merit, the Presidential Unit Citation, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He later commanded a nuclear‑capable field artillery battery in Germany and graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Swier holds a Doctorate of Education from USC, a Master’s in MIS from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.
